Arcasii-Romaniei.ro a luat fiinta din nevoia unor arcasi rataciti de a se trezi din zbuciumul vietii zilelor noastre. Arcasii-Romaniei.ro este locul caruia ii spunem ACASA, locul unde ne vom intoarce mereu, stiind ca cineva ne va primi cu bucurie in ochi si zambet pe buze.

Blestemul arcului care zbarnaie ori cel al sagetii zburand zorit spre tinta sunt blesteme fara leac. Asta chiar daca vremurile s-au copt, si acum putem povesti despre cum se construieste un arc sau o mana de sageti, o tolba, o manusa de arcas ori vreun stilet mai aratos. Ne aducem aminte si de stramosii nostri, cu ale lor straie si obiceiuri arcasesti, ne bucuram si sa primim oaspeti doritori de sfaturi sau de voie buna. Dar stim ca magia arcului e cea care ne-a adunat pe toti la un loc, si e datoria noastra s-o transmitem mai departe.

Hai sa invatam impreuna sa mesterim arcuri si sageti, sa descoperim impreuna secretele ochirii si ale tragerii fara cusur! Hai sa aflam impreuna istoria arcului romanesc si s-o scriem mai departe!

Interesant!

Pana sa vad listele acestea, credeam ca snakewood (si el, ca si maclura, o ruda a dudului) este cel mai tare lemn. Despre snakewood am gasit ca merge la arcuri (la brate) si ca dintr-un lemn de grosimea unui deget "scoti" un arc de 50 lb (acum, nu zicea la ce lungime... ca la 1m lungime reusesti si cu alte lemne tari).

Sunt curios ce date are cornul, considerat de unii cel mai tare lemn european, apropiat maclurii.

Cred ca lemnele folosite in fabricarea shafturilor de sageti sufera de putin "hype", sunt destule lemne care rivalizeaza in rezistenta mecanica Cedru Port Orford.
Si cred ca exista si o lipsa de date despre anumite tipuri de lemn, in consecinta sunt considerate inferioare pentru fabricarea unei sageti, Fagul este un exemplu bun desi este superior mecanic fata de Cedru Port Orford unii il considera inferior pentru sageti.
